Company Profile Vanguard Sector Index Funds - Vanguard Materials ETF is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to track the performance of the MSCI US Investable Market Materials Index (the Index). The Index includes stocks of United States companies within the materials sector. The materials sector is made up of companies in a range of commodity-related manufacturing industries, such as chemicals, construction materials, glass, paper, forest products, and related packaging products, as well as metals, minerals, mining companies, and producers of steel. As of Aug 31 2013, the Fund's investments portfolio was valued at $936,135,000.
