Company Profile ASM International supplies wafer processing equipment to the semiconductor manufacturers, primarily for the deposition of thin films. Co. designs, manufactures, sells, and services its deposition tools to supply its customers with the technologies to produce semiconductor devices, or integrated circuits. Semiconductor manufacturers use Co.'s tools in their wafer fabrication plants, or fabs. Co. also provides maintenance service, spare parts, and process support to its customers globally at their fabs. Atomic layer deposition is Co.'s primary product line. Co.'s second primary product line is Epitaxy, which is the process of depositing highly controlled silicon-based crystalline films.
