Co. is a REIT that owns interests in trusts which issued securities collateralized by mortgages on residential real estate. The mortgages were originated by its wholly-owned subsidiary Performance Credit Corporation. Performance Credit Corporation is a mortgage finance company that originated residential mortgage loans offered to borrowers with a emphasis on “nonconforming” borrowers who generally do not satisfy the credit, collateral, documentation or other standards required by conventional mortgage lenders and loan buyers.
