Company Profile GTC Biotherapeutics develops and produces human therapeutic proteins through transgenic technology that provides production of therapeutic proteins in the milk of transgenic mammals. As of Dec 31 2006, Co.'s proprietary products and product candidates in development includes ATryn? which is a recombinant form of human antithrombin; rhFVIIa which is a blood coagulation factor; rhAAT which is an inhibitor of elastase; and CD137 which is involved in the initiation and regulation of the human immune system. In addition, Co. has external program under contract with Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc., for transgenic production and purification of Merrimack's recombinant human alpha-fetoprotein.
