J3 Insider Rank Index

The J3 insider index is an index giving value or importance to such things as total number of people buying, total transactions, total combined value of those purchases and other proprietary calculation. We then use the values inside a formula which assigns each company with a number. The number given can be from 0 to infinity. The higher the number the more insiders are taking interested in that company. There are three rank index values, one value for each time period. The three time periods are 3 months, 6 months and a 3 and 6 month weighted period giving more importance to buy transactions in the recent 3 months. The reason for this ranking system are to bring those companies that have aggressive insider buying over a medium term to the attention of the user.
